A NEW project, which will see pastors volunteer at four Winchester schools, was recently launched.
It was launched in Winchester at a meeting on Wednesday, October 11 at Kings' School.
Guests from Winchester City Council and schools involved in the project heard how it all came about, and they listened to a greeting from the CEO of the Ascension Trust, Bejoy Pal, parent body to all street and school pastor initiatives.

In March, the Stanmore Local School Group enlisted the support of Winchester Street Pastors in their work to improve the lives of their pupils.
School Pastors have now been launched in Stanmore, Oliver's Battery and St Peter's Roman Catholic primary schools as well as Kings' secondary.
The first five volunteer pastors have started their 24 hours of online and face-to-face training, and will be in the schools from the start of next term.
