A WINCHESTER man has appeared in court facing charges of sexually assaulting a 20-year-old woman.
Denis Wilson McDonald, 73, of Trussell Crescent in Weeke, was charged on Wednesday, October 4, following reports of a sexual assault on November 29 last year in Winchester.
He appeared at Basingstoke Magistrates' Court on Thursday, October 5, but he did not indicate a plea.
McDonald is alleged to have intentionally touched the young woman in a sexual manner without her consent, and he did not reasonably believe that she was consenting.

The alleged assault took place between 2pm and 2.10pm in City Road in Winchester.
The case was sent to Winchester Crown Court, where it is scheduled to be heard at 10am on Wednesday, November 8.
McDonald has been released on unconditional bail until that date.
