POLICE stopped a 12-year-old boy who was illegally riding an e-scooter along a public road in Alresford.
While out on anti-social behaviour patrols on the afternoon of Monday, October 2, officers stopped the rider in Grange Road and confiscated his electric scooter.
Winchester Police posted on Facebook: The escooter will be returned to the parents of the male with paperwork to educate them and the male regarding the use of escooters. Should this male be stopped again on an escooter then formal action is likely to be taken at that time.”
A spokesperson for Hampshire Police said: "His guardians have been made aware that the scooter will likely be seized under Section 165 of the Road Traffic Act if he is seen riding it on a public road again."
