SUTTON Scotney Divos' and Devers have announced their 2023 Christmas panto, The Wizard of Oz.

Performances will take place at 7.30pm on Thursday, December 7 to Saturday, December 9 with matinee performances at 2pm on Saturday and Sunday, December 10. The performances will be held at Victoria Hall, on Wonston Close.

The show is appropriate for all the family, and tickets are now on sale. All proceeds go to charity, including the Victoria Hall.

WONSTON Community Café has raised £350 for the North Winchester Hedgehog Rescue charity.

The next Wonston Community Café will be at the Victoria Hall, Sutton Scotney, 9.30am–12 noon on Wednesday, October 18. This month the café will be raising money for Blood Cancer UK, which raises funds to research different blood cancers including leukaemia and lymphoma.

Staffed by volunteers, the café provides tea, coffee and homemade cakes. It is cash only.

SOUTH Wonston Sustainability is launching a thermal imaging camera scheme.

Participants will be able to borrow an infra-red camera to help identify their properties ‘heat leaks’ and assess if they might benefit from more insulation. Visit the South Wonston Sustainability website, swsustainability.co.uk, to register your interest.

MICHELDEVER Primary PTA are holding a quiz night on Friday, October 20.

The quiz will be at 7.30pm at the Warren Centre at Micheldever Station. Tickets cost £10 per person; a cash bar, nibbles and soft drinks will be available with prizes to be won. Tickets can be purchased online. Anyone with questions should email micheldever-pfa@live.co.uk.

THE Dever Art Exhibition will be taking over Sutton Scotney Village Hall from Friday, October 13 to Sunday, October 15.

Visitors will be able to see what the artists have been up to this year and meet them in person. Refreshments will be available as well as free parking.

THE Victoria Hall Christmas Market will return on Saturday, November 18.

Running at the hall from 10am to 12.30pm, it is the perfect opportunity to stock up on presents and cards, as well enjoy refreshments and perhaps even win a raffle prize.

RESIDENTS are being urged to save the date for the Micheldever Safari Supper on Saturday, October 7. The event costs £25 per person for those hosting a course at their home and £30 for others. Proceeds will go towards St Mary’s Church Fabric Fund.

SOUTH Wonston Sustainability has issued a questionnaire that it is asking residents to complete. Information gathered will be used to tailor events and activities to the needs of the people who live in the parish. It is expected to be delivered to residents by Sunday, October 1.
