AN Alresford man who attacked a city BID Ranger is to be sentenced later this month.
Joseph Flowers, 43, of Down Gate, admitted assault by beating of Brett Jones in Winchester on August 17.
Flowers had originally denied the charge and the case was due to be decided by a trial.
Magistrates in Basingstoke on Tuesday August 5 committed the case to Winchester Crown Court for sentencing on Friday September 29.
Flowers was released on conditional bail including an electronically monitored tag to check on a 7pm-7am curfew to ensure he lives and sleeps at the address in Alresford. He is also banned from entering Winchester.
