A COLDEN Common pre-school is looking to recruit new people. 
This is an opportunity to support young families in the village, learn new skills and meet new people. 
Core roles include chairman, treasurer and secretary. Supporting roles include fundraising, policy review, business and management.

TWYFORD Community Centre is open every Friday evening for games, from 6.30pm-10pm. 
It's free entry with a bar, hot drinks, snacks, table tennis, snooker, darts and other board games available.

COLDEN Common Community Centre Association is holding its AGM. 
It will be held in the Patrick Moore Room on Wednesday September 20, starting at 7.30pm. 
The meeting will provide an opportunity to inform people of what the trustees have done and answer any questions. 
Drinks and nibbles will be available before and after. 

THE Colden Common Community Centre Association invited residents to submit ideas for a new logo for the building. 
The competition was open to all Colden Common residents. 
All entries are on display in the community centre and visitors will be able to view and judge each entry. 
The final judging and decision on final design will be made at the community association annual general meeting on Wednesday September 20. 

COLDEN Common Parish Council is appealing for residents to send them new and old photos of the village. 
A message from the parish council said: “A huge welcome to Mary Sands who is the new volunteer editor of the village newsletter which is produced quarterly by Colden Common Community Association. 
“Does anyone have old photos of the village that they would like to contribute for the cover of the village newsletter? Mary is specifically looking for ones that might show 'then & now', to demonstrate how the village has changed or looks different. 
“If you can help, please e-mail clerk@coldencommon-pc.gov.uk and the parish office will pass them onto Mary.” 

BALLROOM dancing classes are being held in Otterbourne. 
The classes will be held on Wednesday evenings, from 6.30pm.

A CHARITY coffee morning is coming to Twyford Parish Hall. 
The event will be raising funds for cancer charity Macmillan Cancer Support.

A MURDER mystery evening is coming to Otterbourne Village Hall. 
Villainy at the Vicarage will be performed by Otterbourne Theatre Company on September 23 and 24, at 7pm. 
Tickets cost £15 per person which includes a fish ’n chip-style supper, with veggie or sausage options. The bar will be open and takes cash or card payments.

LOOKING ahead, a table-top sale will be held at Twyford Parish Hall and organised by the local girlguides.
