OWSLEBURY is introducing a fun dog show as part of its new events line-up for this weekend.

Country show season continues with Owslebury Fete on Saturday, September 9.

The fete opens at 12.30pm on the Glebe Field, beside St Andrew’s Church, with new stalls such as piggy racing, crazy golf, kettle bell demonstrations and the Dog Show, organised by Able Groomers.

Refreshments include a BBQ, sponsored by local dentists White Winchester, the Beer Tent organised by the Lift Controller, and the popular tea tent with an array of home-made cakes.

The fete features a range of traditional games and an Aladdin’s cave of curiosities on the bric a brac stall.

Dog show classes include the ‘best six legs’ at 1.30pm, the ‘waggiest tail’ at 2.30pm and the ‘best in show’ at 3.30pm.

The event is also running a miniature garden competition for children this year as part of the Green Owslebury programme.
