The Alresford Agricultural Show and Littleton and Harestock Show drew large crowds from across the community to watch events including horseboarding, livestock judging, and engage in the chance to purchase local produce from multiple merchants.

The Alresford Agricultural Show, which took place on Saturday, September 2, featured numerous events, including a dog parade, birds of prey show and ferret races. A popular feature of the day was the horseboarding event, which comprised Round 7 of Horseboarding UK’s National Championships.

Also on Saturday, September 2 at Littleton Recreation Ground, the 122-year-old Littleton and Harestock Show drew crowds for the dog gymkhana, model boat show and Punch and Judy.

All Things Alresford dubbed the Alresford Agricultural Show a success in a post on its Facebook page on the afternoon of the event.

It said: “Another wonderful day at The Alresford Agricultural Show. For a small town we do pack a punch when it comes to big events and a strong community.

“Thank you to all those stall holders who are showcasing their amazing produce, service and business plus all the local farm and countryside sports teams. We love learning more about the place we live in and how much goes into getting 'farm to fork'.”
