A MAN has been arrested following a crash on M27 during a police pursuit.
The incident happened shortly after 1.50pm on Friday, September 1, when officers attempted to stop a dark grey Kia Sportage that was traveling at an excessive speed on the eastbound carriageway.
Following the Rownhams Services slip road, the Kia collided with a white Volkswagen Golf. Both vehicles came to a halt against a roadside barrier.
The driver of the Volkswagen Golf emerged without injuries.
A 32-year-old man from Southampton was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and drink driving.

While he has been released from police custody, he remains under investigation as enquiries continue.
Police are now appealing for any witnesses of the incident.
Authorities are urging individuals who were traveling on the M27 during the incident and witnessed the collision or observed the Kia Sportage in the moments leading up to it to come forward.
Additionally, those with dash cam footage capturing the incident or the Kia Sportage are requested to contact the police.
