"Previously, that has been conducted directly by The Loop, but we also work in partnership with other organisations, and there is one this weekend doing back-of-house testing which can then inform the harm reduction messaging which goes to the general public."

The organisation is particularly useful at Boomtown, where drug use is prevalent, and while The Loop isn't carrying out drug testing itself, the organisation plays a key role in safety.Hampshire Chronicle: The Loop's tentThe Loop's tent (Image: Newquest)

"We are in the process of working with all of our partners, the Home Office included, to ensure that there is absolute clarity in regards to requirements and conditions for testing to take place."

Katie added: "I just think it's really important that there's knowledge out there.

"Have conversations, if there are things that people are hearing that they are not sure about in relation to drugs or alcohol, or if they have had negative experiences, find someone to talk to about it.

"Our volunteers are healthcare professionals, we have an excellent team here, seek that out and find people that have good information."
