The cost of £385,000 spent on Kings Walk, when it's possible it will be demolished in the Regeneration Plan, in my opinion would have been better used to refurbish the disgusting toilets we have in Winchester; so would the cost of installing a cycle rack in central car park which houses more shopping trolleys than cycles.

During the Christmas Market last year a visitor stopped me and asked where the disabled toilets were having given her all locations she informed me that she had tried them all and they were all out order she was so desperate for the disabled person with her I took her to the disabled toilet in the sheltered scheme where I live. She was very grateful but was astonished that all disabled facilities were not available.

It's not just disabled toilets it's all the toilets in Winchester which are a disgrace and the council should be ashamed that they don't appear to be addressing the matter.

At a recent Cabinet meeting Ian Tait and a local resident brought the matter to the attention of the councillors when it was announced by the Leader that plans were in place to refurbish some toilets, but what we were not told in which decade.
