A WINCHESTER pensioner has been hit with a four-figure fine for speeding in London.
Michael Caswell-Daniels, 79, of Chesil Street, was snapped by an automatic camera driving a 55-reg Mercedes C Class in Putney on January 7, a court heard. His speed was 52mph in a 30-zone.
Magistrates in Willesden found him guilty under the single justice procedure.
Caswell-Daniels was fined £1,000 with a £400 victim surcharge and £100 costs. Six penalty points were added to his driving licence.
The £1,500 penalty must be paid by August 2.
