THE Twyford Village Games was back this year with traditional races and sports day fun.

Four teams, yellow, green, red and blue, represented the different areas of the village for the competition at Hunters Park.

Each team had to endure races such as the space hopper race, the sack race, egg and spoon, relay, egg throwing and catching and tug of war.

The efforts of the whole village raised £2,100, from race donations and raffle entries, for the Twyford Playgroup.

Food stalls included German sausages, slushies, Judes ice cream, Indian food truck Chant and The Bugle pub also bought its bar along.

Hayley Fitzhenry from the Bugle Inn said: “The whole event was a great success and we are looking forward to doing again next year.”
