JOIN Daily Echo Saints reporter Benjy Nurick live from St Mary's to recap and discuss Southampton's dramatic final-day draw with Liverpool as well as the season as a whole.

While relegation had already been confirmed in the weeks leading up to Liverpool's arrival on the south coast, it was a pulsating goodbye to the Premier League as Saints rallied from two goals down before coughing up a two-goal lead of their own as both sides settled for a draw.

Goals from Diogo Jota and Roberto Firmino gave the visitors a commanding early advantage but a strong retort saw Saints head into half-time level thanks to strikes from James Ward-Prowse and Kamaldeen Sulemana.

Kamaldeen then handed Saints their first lead of the afternoon with a stunning solo goal before Adam Armstrong made it 4-2 just seconds after coming off the bench.

But Liverpool came roaring back and Cody Gakpo and Jota's second saw them draw level. As Jurgen Klopp's side pushed for a winner, Saints carried a dangerous threat on the counter-attack but smart saves from both goalkeepers kept the contest level.

It was a breathless end to a troubled season for Saints. And it's one that ends with plenty of questions.

Is that the last we'll see of Ward-Prowse in a Saints shirt? Who will be Saints' next manager? What will the squad look like come August? How will Sport Republic's increasingly hands-on approach fare?

All that and more is discussed in the video below...
