OWSLEBURY Scarecrow Festival is back from May 27-June 4.
The theme is children's TV programmes through the decades.
Maps cost £5 each with proceeds going to OMCA and Friends of St Andrew's Church.

COMPTON U18 Girls are looking for new players for the coming season.
The team recently won the Hampshire Girls Youth Football League and want to enhance the current squad.
They train twice a week, on Mondays and Thursdays, and play matches on Saturday mornings.

TWYFORD Playgroup Fundraising Committee is organising a Village Games event.
It will be held on July 2 at Hunter Park, from 1.30pm-4.30pm.
It promises to be a fun afternoon with food, the Bugle Bar and more.
A suggested £10 donation per family will go to Twyford Playgroup.
Sign up opens in early June.

FRIENDS of Owslebury Primary School is hosting a summer dance in June.
The event, at Durley House on June 24, will feature dancing, food, a raffle and a photobooth.
Resident singer Hayd Copperthwaite will also be in attendance. There will be drinks on arrival, a buffet dinner and a hog roast. 
The dress code is festival party wear. Tickets cost £20 and the event will be held from 7pm-12am.

This is a permanent post for 17 hours per week.

OTTERBOURNE Fete is returning to the Recreation Ground in June.
The free event will be held on June 25, from 1pm-4pm. 
There will be live music, a dog show, local stalls, maypole, BBQ, Pimms/beer, ice cream, a raffle, bouncy castle, face painting and more.

AN event called ‘A brew and a book’ will be returning to Colden Common.
It is usually held on the last Thursday of each month at Colden Common Community Centre, from 2pm-4pm. 
People can enjoy some company, have a hot drink and have a browse at the second hand books. 

FORMER Colden Common Parish Council chairman Richard Izard has retired from the role.
A post on the parish council Facebook page said: “Richard has been a parish councillor for 35 years, first being co-opted in 1988 and then elected in 1990. For 20 of those years Richard has been the chairman. His term of office has seen many changes in the village including major developments such as St Vigor Way, Wessex Way, Sandyfields and the purchase and development of Colden Common Park.
“The parish council would like to take this opportunity to congratulate him and thank him for his service to our community.”

COLDEN Common Music and Drama Group will be performing a concert called Say it with a Song.
The concert will be held at Colden Common Community Centre on June 30 and July 1, at 7.30pm.
It's set to feature a selection of old and new songs.
There will be a bar, refreshments and a lucky programme number prize.

TWYFORD will be hosting a plant sale at the end of May.
The sale is raising funds for the Twyford Methodist Chapel and will be held on May 27 at 11am-3pm.
