Winchester's muscular dystrophy charity held two events in April, raising more than £1,000.
On April 19, they held a coffee morning in Sutton Scotney.
Barbara Anderson, from the charity, said: “Christine Hunt organised a tombola and Frances Field brought her hand-made cards and crafts. Everyone enjoyed the scrumptious cakes, all home-made and melt in the mouth.
“There were walkers, cyclists from far and wide and locals; all enjoying the superb hospitality. In total £760 was raised. Many thanks to all involved.”

Then, on April 22 the charity had a plant sale in Hyde.
Ms Anderson said: “Once again the people of Hyde gave their support to this cause.
“We were ready for them and from 10am until 6pm they made their way to Monks Road where there was a huge array of plants to choose from.
“It was a real community occasion. Thanks to all of you and we raised an amazing sum in excess of £700.”
The charity was able to raise £1,460 from the two events.
