A TWYFORD church is holding a plant sale on May 20. 
St Mary the Virgin Church will be holding the event from 10am-12pm. 
A wide variety of plants will be available and there will be an opportunity to leave a donation to Christian Aid. 
Tea and cake will also be on offer. 

OTTERBOURNE Fete is returning to the Recreation Ground in June. 
The free event will be held on June 25, from 1pm-4pm. 
There will be live music, a dog show, local stalls, maypole, BBQ, Pimms/beer, ice cream, a raffle, bouncy castle, face painting and more. 

COMPTON School has its community fete on May 21. 
The event will from 11am-3pm at the primary school. 
Entry is free and the fete will have a karate display, cake, ice cream, a bouncy castle and more. 
Parking will be available at South Winchester Park and Ride. 

AN event called ‘A brew and a book’ will be returning to Colden Common. 
It is usually held on the last Thursday of each month at Colden Common Community Centre, from 2pm-4pm. 
People can enjoy some company, have a hot drink and have a browse at the second hand books. 

A PERFORMANCE of songs from musicals in coming to Otterbourne. 
A Night at the Musicals will be held at Otterbourne Village Hall on May 20, starting at 7.30pm. 
There will be songs from Cats, My Fair Lady, Sister Act, Calamity Jane, Joseph, We Will Rock You and the Lion King.

A SPRING litter pick will be held in Otterbourne in May. 
It will start at the Village Hall on May 20 at 10am. 
Equipment will be provided, but organisers are asking people to bring gloves and, if possible, a high-vis vest. 

COMPTON U18 Girls are looking for new players for the coming season. 
The team recently won the Hampshire Girls Youth Football League and want to enhance the current squad. 
They train twice a week, on Mondays and Thursdays, and play matches on Saturday mornings.

TWYFORD Playgroup Fundraising Committee is organising a Village Games event. 
It will be held on July 2 at Hunter Park, from 1.30pm-4.30pm. 
It promises to be a fun afternoon with food, the Bugle Bar and more. 
A suggested £10 donation per family will go to Twyford Playgroup. 
Sign up opens in early June. 

A CARE home in Compton is hosting a regular bingo night on the second Wednesday of the month from 6pm. 
It's held at Shawford Springs and there will be a selection of prizes to be won and refreshments available.

FRIENDS of Owslebury Primary School is hosting a summer dance in June. 
The event, at Durley House on June 24, will feature dancing, food, a raffle and a photobooth. 
Resident singer Hayd Copperthwaite will also be in attendance. There will be drinks on arrival, a buffet dinner and a hog roast. 
The dress code is festival party wear. Tickets cost £20 and the event will be held from 7pm-12am.
