Auditions will then take place on Saturday, July 1 and Sunday, July 2 from 10am and 5pm. Rehearsals are held every Sunday from September in the run-up to the show at the Theatre Royal Winchester in February half-term.

Director Noel Jones said: “Guys and Dolls is a golden Broadway classic adored by audiences of all ages. Frank Loesser’s spectacular score is, without doubt, one of the greatest in musical theatre history, creating amazing opportunities for breath-taking choreography and with characters who are among the best-loved and most iconic to be found on stage. To be part of this “perfect musical comedy” will be an incredible experience for any young person with a passion for musical theatre.”

Current member Tim Corrie, 15, said: "ENCORE is so much more than just a youth theatre. It's like being part of a warm, welcoming family with people who become some of your greatest friends. The fact that you get to perform with them and build your confidence on-stage and off is a bonus and show week at the Theatre Royal Winchester is one of the best weeks of the year."

Hampshire Chronicle:

This production is based on the book by Joe Swerling and Abe Burrows, with music by Frank Loesser. The story follows a group of New York gamblers who fall in love under the bright lights of Broadway. The musical was first staged in 1950 and received a host of awards including Tonys, Drama Desks, and Oliviers.
