THE Twyford Singers will be performing John Rutter’s folk song cycle The Sprig of Thyme and Songs and Sonnets with words mostly by Shakespeare to music by George Shearing. David Hall, conductor, and Andrew Hayman, accompanist will also perform some piano pieces. 
The concert will take place in the Twyford Parish Hall on Saturday May 20 at 7.30pm.

A MAY Fayre is taking place at Otterbourne Primary School this weekend. 
It will be held on May 13, from 11.30am-3pm. 
There will be a bouncy castle, games, maypole dancing, a BBQ, a bar, entertainment, food and more. 

COMPTON School has its community fete on May 21. 
The event will from 11am-3pm at the primary school. 
Entry is free and the fete will have a karate display, cake, ice cream, a bouncy castle and more.

A QUIZ night is being held at Owslebury Primary School. 
The event is organised by the Friends of Owslebury Primary School and it will be held on May 12, starting at 7.30pm.

AN event called ‘A brew and a book’ will be returning to Colden Common. 
It is usually held on the last Thursday of each month at Colden Common Community Centre, from 2pm-4pm. 
People can enjoy some company, have a hot drink and have a browse at the second hand books. 

A PERFORMANCE of songs from musicals in coming to Otterbourne. 
A Night at the Musicals will be held at Otterbourne Village Hall on May 13 and 20, starting at 7.30pm. 
There will be songs from Cats, My Fair Lady, Sister Act, Calamity Jane, Joseph, We Will Rock You and the Lion King.

AN asthma and lung charity is holding support sessions in Colden Common. 
BreathEasy will be holding sessions every Wednesday at 2pm in the Church Rooms. 
They cater primarily for people with conditions such as COPD, fibrosis, long Covid and other pulmonary conditions.

A SPRING litter pick will be held in Otterbourne in May. 
It will start at the Village Hall on May 20 at 10am. 
Equipment will be provided, but organisers are asking people to bring gloves and, if possible, a high-vis vest. 

A TWYFORD church is holding a plant sale on May 20. 
St Mary the Virgin Church will be holding the event from 10am-12pm. 
A wide variety of plants will be available and there will be an opportunity to leave a donation to Christian Aid. 
Tea and cake will also be on offer. 

TWYFORD St Mary's PTA is organising the Twyford Coronation Colour Run. 
It will be held on May 12 at Ballard Close.

OTTERBOURNE Fete is returning to the Recreation Ground in June. 
The free event will be held on June 25, from 1pm-4pm.
