Alresford has been named one of the best places to live in 2023 by The Times.

Danny Chambers, the Lib Dem MP candidate for Winchester, visited the town last week for a meeting with New Alresford Town Trust.

New Alresford Town Trust, a local community charity, was registered 125 years ago. It helps with the upkeep of the high street and also local historical sites like the old fire station. The local charity also puts on a local minibus service, paid for by donations.

Mr Chambers said: “Alresford is a one of a kind town. It fully deserves the recognition it has been given by The Times as one of the best places to live in 2023.

“I loved my recent visit to Alresford where I met with the Town Trust to see the amazing work they do maintaining the high street as well as local historical sites like the old fire station.

“Thank you Vanessa Andrews, chair of the Town Trust, and the other trustees for the tireless work they put into the charity to make Alresford a great place to live. People that want to support the Town Trust can donate and help make Alresford a great place to live.”
