COMPTON & Shawford Festival Choir is performing popular choruses and solos from Mendelssohn's Elijah.
It will be in aid of the Voices for Hospices Choir and will be performed in memory of accompanist Gwilym Stacey.
The performance will be held on April 29 at Colden Common Community Centre, starting at 7.30pm.
Admission is £10 on the door.

TWYFORD Bowling Club is holding an open day on April 23, from 10.30am-4pm.
They play between May and September in friendly matches with about 16 clubs in the county, at home and away.
They also have club competitions.

AN asthma and lung charity is holding support sessions in Colden Common.
BreathEasy will be holding sessions every Wednesday at 2pm in the Church Rooms.
They cater primarily for people with conditions such as COPD, fibrosis, long Covid and other pulmonary conditions. 
They have regular activity sessions overseen by a professional trainer, with tea and biscuits provided.

A SERIES of talks are held at Colden Common Community Centre on the second Wednesday of the month.
They are called ‘Colden Common Talks With’ and range from talks about hobbies, local history or new skills. 
The centre is urging people to get in touch to register an interest in giving a talk or presentation.
The next event will be hosted by former Colden Common resident Professor Edward Rochead, on April 12 starting at 7.30pm.
He will be giving a talk on the life of the Reverend James Woodforde, who was educated at Winchester College and lived from 1740-1803.
The talk will include extracts from his diary and should be an interesting insight into what life was like during that time. 

A CHURCH in Otterbourne is hosting an Easter trail.
St Matthew's Church is hiding 10 hand-decorated eggs around the village for people to find.
It costs £3 to enter and all money goes to the church. It will be held from April 1-16.
There is also an Easter Monday Fun Day at the church on April 10, from 10am-12.30pm.

TWYFORD litter pick will be held on April 1.
This will be an opportunity for people to help clear the village of litter, starting at 10.30am.
It will be starting at Twyford Parish Hall. There will be free coffee, tea and juice available in the hall until 12pm.

THE Methodist Church, in Spring Lane in Colden Common, is holding an Easter edition of Messy Church.
Families are invited to come to build an Easter Garden, on April 2 which is Palm Sunday. The event will be held from 3pm-4.30pm, ending with cake and a drink.

A CAR wash fundraiser is being held for Twyford Playgroup on April 1.
It will be held at the Twyford Surgery carpark from 10am-4pm.
A donation of £10 is suggested, and they are accepting cash and card. Turn up or contact 07738 076618 to book a 20 minute slot. 

AN event called ‘A brew and a book’ will be returning to Colden Common. The event is usually held on the last Thursday of each month at Colden Common Community Centre, from 2pm-4pm.
