A WINCHESTER drug driver who returned a very high reading for a cocaine breakdown product has been banned from the road.
Joshua Morgan, 28, of Colson Close, Winnall, was stopped by police on Khosla Road, Kings Barton, on October 22, a court heard.
Morgan returned a reading for benzoylecgonine of 416 ug/l when the legal limit is 50, making him eight times the legal limit. A test for cocaine returned a reading of 20ug/l double the legal limit of 10ugl.
Morgan admitted both charges when he appeared at Basingstoke Magistrates Court on Tuesday March 14.
He was fined £300 with a £120 victim surcharge and £85 costs. He was disqualified for 12 months. The penalties must be paid by June 6.
