Hundred Men's Hall at the Chapel of St Cross on one of the loveliest days of the year was the setting for a charity lunch to raise funds for Ovarian Cancer Action.
In 2021 the Kitchen Dancers Women's institute, based in St Cross, raised a successful resolution to raise awareness of the subtle signs of ovarian cancer.

The lunch, although not a WI event, was held to raise money for research and in honour of Vicky Jacobs, who died from the disease aged just 48 years old.
