FILMING of The Crown is set to return to Winchester with production crews now setting up at the cathedral.

Scaffolding and cranes are in place around the cathedral’s Inner and Outer Close, with filming expected to take place on Tuesday, January 24 and Wednesday, January 25 according to a crew member.

Hampshire Chronicle:

Winchester Cathedral refused to comment but its website shows the cathedral will be closed all day with services being held in the Undercroft instead, apart from the Festal Evensong which will be held in Winchester College Chapel.

Staff from Maloney and Associates Location Services have been on site in hi-vis jackets since Friday, January 13 as they prepare the set for filming next week.
