A WINCHESTER-based quilting group have made and donated incubator covers to a Winchester hospital.
Eight members of Wessex Quiltmakers gathered together for half a day to make four large incubator covers for the Neo Natal unit at the Royal Hampshire County Hospital.
Working in pairs the workshop was led by member of Wessex Quiltmakers and local Project Linus UK Coordinator, Norma Goodwin.
The wadding and backing fabric were provided by Wessex Quiltmakers and the top fabric was donated to Project Linus by members of the public.

Each cover was made from a different fabric, making all of them unique and adding interest and brightness to the ward.
Wessex Quiltmakers will display the members’ quilts in the chapel of St Cross at the Michaelmas Fair in September.
In addition, there were demonstrations, a double bed raffle quilt to raise funds for Winchester Hospice and displays of cushions and bags.
