A DAY nursery and pre-school in Otterbourne has been rated “Outstanding” following an Ofsted inspection.

Bright Horizons Otterbourne Day Nursery and Pre-School was inspected on December 1, with Ofsted’s report praising the management of the nursery and highlighting the skills children are taught.

The Ofsted report said: “Children gain important and valuable skills, such as how to managing their own personal and physical needs.

“They are exceptionally well prepared for the next stage of their learning.”

It continued: “Parents are fully involved in their children’s learning and feel valued.

“They highly praise the manager and staff and report that their children make amazing progress in their learning and development.”

Ofsted report on four key categories – quality of education, behaviour and attitudes, personal development, and leadership management.

The inspection was carried out through a variety of tasks including staff interviews and those of an observational nature.

Bright Horizons Otterbourne Day Nursery and Preschool manager Kim Doubell said: “The team are incredibly proud to have achieved an outstanding result as it reflects the hard work we put in every day to ensure the very best for our children and families.
