A MODEL train society is inviting members of the public to its exhibition in Romsey.

Romsey & District Railway Society are inviting everyone to its 43rd annual exhibition on Saturday, March 4 and Sunday, March 5 at the Crosfield Hall.

The annual exhibition is held on the first weekend in March every year.

The 43rd exhibition will be the second event of its type that the society has held since the Covid-19 pandemic forced residents into lockdown in 2021, with the society hosting an exhibition in 2022 when lockdown restrictions eased.

Last year's exhibition was a huge success, attracting hundreds of visitors, with the society able to donate £1,500 to various charities as a result.

The exhibition will have something for everyone, from serious modellers to those who want to play with the trains to people who are just starting their own model railways, with families welcomed at the event.

The society will be debuting its new club layout at the event, North Waltham Junction, which has been in development for two years since the Covid-19 pandemic began.

The event will feature 15 different layouts in eight different scales – N, 009, TT, HO, 016, O and Lego.

The majority of layouts will be based on British stations, but both German and American stations will also be available.

There will also be a special Lego layout, which will be of great interest to young children.
