A VILLAGER from near Micheldever has been fined for not assisting the police over the identity of a driver in an alleged motoring offence.
Alphonso Stokes, of Carousel Park, Basingstoke Road, failed to give the Metropolitan Police the name of the driver of a 22-reg BMW in London on May 5.
The cause was proved under the single justice procedure at Willesden Magistrates Court in London on November 25.
Stokes was not present in court. His age was not stated on the court record.
The magistrates fined him £660 with a £66 victim surcharge and £90 costs. Six penalty points were added to his licence.
