MICHELDEVER Parish Council discussed three new planning applications at the next meeting on Thursday, December 8.
Plans include an “oak to raise by 4-5m by removing secondary limbs and crown reduce by 2m” from an applicant at 60 Church Street, removal of “ash showing signs of die back and growing through overhead wires” by an applicant at Field Barn in Church Street and an “extension to the existing kitchen and conservatory to match the existing house” from an applicant at Woodmancott House in Rownest Wood Lane.
The meeting agenda also includes considerations of the following: safety improvements to the village clock, action removal of the hedge in Warren Field and play area and electricity and various repairs within the LRPF Pavilion and play area.
Attendance from locals is encouraged to the meeting, starting at 7.30pm in East Stratton Village Hall.

THE Dever Singers will be spreading the Christmas spirit with concerts in Micheldever and South Wonston.
The performers will be putting on a varied programme of festive music on Saturday, December 10 at 7.30pm at St Margaret’s Church in South Wonston and Sunday, December 11 at 6pm at St Mary the Virgin Church in Micheldever.
The events are free but donations are to church funds are encouraged.

MEMBERS of South Wonston Parish Council will meet on Monday, December 12 at 7.30pm in the South Wonston Pavilion.
Councillors will look at the revised budget for 2022/23, the draft budget for 2023/24 as well discussing planning applications, policies.
Cllr Berry is set to give an update on the Speed Detection Unit, while a councillor is needed to volunteer to check salt boxes and keep them topped up throughout the colder months.

BLOOM Baby Classes Winchester & Andover is hosting a Christmas class including a photo station, extra sensory trays and take home hand print keepsakes.
Two sessions are being held at Victoria Hall in Sutton Scotney for babies aged six weeks to 15 months on Tuesday, December 13.

WONSTON Community Café prepares for final meet of the year at Victoria Hall in Sutton Scotney.
The cafe is being held on Wednesday, December 14, a week earlier than usual, from 9.30am to midday.
This month, the volunteer café is raising money for Myeloma UK, in memory of Wonston resident called Kate. Kate’s mother and good friend Aly will both be attending the café to spread the word about the charity.
Cafe organiser Janis Kinnell said: “Please do come along to support the community café, which is staffed entirely by volunteers. All the cakes are homemade, we have real coffee and plenty of free parking.”
The community café has also released the first charities it will be supporting in the new year including SERV Wessex in January, Goalball in February and BOAZ in March.
The cash-only cafe is typically on the third Wednesday monthly.
