A UK festival is bringing live music, food and cider to Winchester for the first time this summer.
Organisers have confirmed Sausage & Cider Festival is coming to Winchester on Saturday, August 19, 2023, in the North Walls Recreation Ground.
The event has previously taken place in more than 30 cities across the UK and prides itself on its range of sausages and cider flavours from standard apple to rhubarb, cherry Bakewell, rum and chocolate.
The Winchester venue will host a large outdoor stage, food vendors and more than 50m of bars. In addition to the food and drink, tribute acts will be performing throughout the days and are yet to be confirmed.
Previous performers include The Real Magic Queen, KopyKat Killers, ScamFender, SubArtic Monkeys, Parklife, OneStep Behind (Madness), Definitely Mightbe (Oasis), Biffy McCylro, Kazabian and Red Hot Chilli Peppers Experience.

Local bands can also get involved as with slots available during the day. Details for artists to apply will be available on the festival’s social media pages soon.
At the event, visitors can sign up for a six-round chilli-eating competition and a speed-eating sausage contest. Competitors can sign up by the stage on the day.
Marketing manager Lee Fudge said: “Sausage and Cider Festival outdoors is one of those feel-good events with great music playing all day from DJs to live bands including some great local acts we will be supporting. This along with a huge amount of cider flavours and great independent food operators from around the UK we are excited to have our event hosted in Winchester and outdoors for the very first time.”

More than 12 flavours of sausages and 25 flavours of cider will be available. For non-cider drinkers draft beer, prosecco, gin, cocktails and soft drinks will also be on offer.
The event is open to all ages but those under 18 must be accompanied by someone who is over 21 at a ratio of one adult to three under 18’s.
Doors will open 2pm and the event finishes at 11pm. Pre-sale tickets have already tickets but general admission is currently available for half-price at sausageandciderfest.co.uk/winchester.
