CCTV images have been released of two potential witnesses following an arson attack that destroyed equipment in a kids' play park in Kings Worthy.

Between 12.30am and 12.45am on Saturday, September 24 the play park next to Tubbs Hall on Pound Road was set alight.

A 33-year-old woman from Winchester has been arrested on suspicion of arson.

She has been questioned and released under investigation while enquiries continue.

Firefighters were called after the blaze was spotted by passerby Adam Keki, from Basingstoke, who was visiting a friend’s house.

The incident has been condemned by the parish council. Chairman Matthew Miller-Hall said: “It’s hit everybody very hard.”

As part of their enquiries, officers have now released images of two people they believe could be key witnesses in their investigations.

A spokesperson said: "We believe they may have information that will help us progress our investigation.
