RMVC’s Patron, the well-known conductor and arranger Haydn James conducted a joint piece, Anthem from the musical Chess, and Micky Chilman, the regional Prostate Cancer UK ambassador, shared his moving story of suffering and recovering from the disease emphasising the importance of the support he was given throughout by Prostate Cancer UK.

RMVC chairman Kevin Cleary said: “As a singing Welshman it was an ambition of mine to invite Treorchy Male Choir to perform with RMVC in Romsey Abbey and the choir most definitely did not disappoint. The whole concert was a real tribute to male singing and the extended standing ovation given to us after the joint finale said it all. However, our aim other than entertaining was to support a great charity in Prostate Cancer UK. This was the second time we’re performed for the charity, and we are extremely pleased to report that we’ve been able to hand over an even larger cheque on this occasion”.

RMVC’s next concert ‘Until There is Peace’ in aid of people in Ukraine will be held in St Michael and All Angels Church in Lyndhurst on Saturday November 19.
