A WINCHESTER Army officer has been convicted of speeding three times in a week.
Captain James Jalili, 32, broke the speed limit on the A153 in Lincolnshire twice on April 4 and again on April 11 this year, a court heard. He was measured driving at 36mph, 39mph and 38mph in a 17-reg BMW 118D.
Jalili, of Kings Crescent, Stanmore, was not in court but pleaded guilty under the single justice procedure.
For two of the offences magistrates in Boston on Thursday October 20 fined him £215 with a £34 victim surcharge, £90 costs and three penalty points added to his licence. There was no separate penalty for the third offence.
An allegation of failing to give information to the police about an offence was withdrawn.
