A FUNDRAISING hero, from a village near Romsey, kickstarted Children in Need alongside a famous presenter on Radio 2.

Nearly one year on from being awarded Children in Need’s fundraiser of the year 2021, Amy Wright, from East Wellow, reunited with Michael Ball on his radio show.

The singer presented Amy, 37, with the award live on stage during the BBC's 2021 appeal show on November 21.

On October 9, the award winner starred on Michael Ball’s Radio 2 show to launch Children in Need 2022 across the country.
