ABBOTSWOOD (Romsey) Women’s Institute (WI) is looking forward to embracing the spirit of Bollywood at the next monthly meeting.
Members of Abbotswood WI in Romsey will be trying the art of Bollywood dancing at their next meeting on October 11, starting at 7.30pm.
An interactive demonstration, led by Bollywood dance expert Hannah Murphy, will demonstrate the moves and encourage the ladies to get up and dance. Hannah previously ran a hula hooping evening for the WI which was commended a great success and it’s hoped that the dance trial proves to be just as popular.
Abbotswood WI was set up six years ago and has a varied programme of events to suit different tastes and interests. The club meets monthly on the second Tuesday of the month at 7.30pm at Abbotswood Community Centre as well as a growing number of sub-groups, including lunch, supper, craft, games and a book group, that meet throughout each month.
The friendly group is always looking to welcome new members. No booking is necessary and non-members can attend up to three events for free.
President of Abbotswood (Romsey) WI Carol Smith said: "If you are new to the area or just looking for a new interest, please give us a try. Everyone is welcome and I can guarantee that you will be chatting to someone and making new friends before too long."
