England U16 striker Sophie Bray got a key deflection from a penalty corner to double the lead.

Two minutes after the break Trojans got a third - Loughborough having failed to muster a solitary shot on target.

Amy Sheehan drew a penalty corner foul for McNeill to make it three, while two minutes from the end JoJo Davis fired in a drag flick.

Trojans II ensured they would be playing South League Division 2 hockey next term with a 7-1 victory over Purley.

One-time England star Sally Gibson scored Trojans' first four goals, with Denise Lulham getting the fifth and Jenny Peebles bagging a brace.

l HAMPSHIRE U15 Girls, pictured right, completed an unbeaten season and claimed the Southern Counties League title with wins against Middlesex and Oxfordshire.

The side will now go on to represent the South of Eng-land in the National Finals.

Hampshire faced Middle-sex in their first fixture of the weekend and had their record under threat, as they faced a 2-1 half time deficit.

But two second half penalty spot goals secured a 3-2 victory with Rosie Wood's strike and Rebecca Van Berkel's double doing the damage.

Having beaten Middlesex, who started the day as league leaders, one point ahead of Hampshire, the girls needed a win against Oxfordshire to be crowned champions.

It was goals from Jade Lock, Sarah Johns and two more from Van Berkel that secured their title with a 4-2 win.

The displays indicate promising foundations upon which to build for the National Finals.
