LONG delays were reported on the A34 north of Winchester this morning (Wednesday, March 19).
One lane of the northbound carriageway was closed between the A33 turn off near Headbourne Worthy and the M3 junction at Winnall. The lane was shut due to an accident.
Rush hour jams soon built on the A34, which had a knock-on effect on the northbound M3, with slow traffic reported as far back as junction 12 at Chandler's Ford.
Traffic is expected to return to normal on the A34 at around 10am today.
