A BOOK on a former world champion sidecar rider and one-time Ropley resident has been published.
It is called Hold On! and is the story of Stan Dibben who lived on Gascoigne Lane up until he was 25.
Before his motorcycling career took off after the war he worked in the area as an apprentice electrician and claims to have wired Alresford station.
The 82-year-old now lives in Lechlade, Gloucestershire.
