A SCHOOL in Winchester welcomed back some famous ex-pupils from the world of music.
All four members of classical boy band, Blake, visited The Pilgrims' School in the Cathedral Close.
Two of them - Ollie Baines and Jules Knight - are former pupils, and were also Choristers at the cathedral.
Their visit came about when the band went to the BBC Young Chorister of the Year competition last October.
The Pilgrims' School enters the event each year, and music teacher, Hilary Webster, attended the awards as usual.
While there, she bumped into the former pupils who are now plying their trade in Blake, and invited them back to Winchester.
The band accepted, and had breakfast at the school last Friday (March 14) before visiting several classes and dormitories. Later on, they gave a 30-minute performance to the whole school.
School spokeswoman, Ali Dugdale, added: "We are hoping that they might come back again in the summer term for some music workshops with the boys."
In the meantime, the band is trying to drum up votes for the best newcomer category at the Classial Brits.
