A DAY spa business in Wellow recently donated £100 to a Romsey charity.

Shergold Spa presented the founders of the Jenna Marie Foundation, Susan and Steve Wilkinson, with the cheque on September 9.

Owner of the spa, Aimee Shergold, explained that the money was raised though a raffle and that a Christmas edition will be held.

Also that, going forward, they will be making monthly donations to Jenna Marie Foundation with £1 for every new customer.

Hampshire Chronicle:

The charity was founded after Susan and Steve's daughter Jenna died from bowel cancer, aged 40. They want to raise awareness of symptoms, especially in young people.

Steve said: "We are very grateful to for the donation and future efforts. Also for the donations of other businesses at our events."

On November 26, the charity is hosting a Christmas ball at the Ageas Bowl in Southampton. Tickets are still available and can be bought from the charity's website, Facebook page, or by calling 07488 323878.
