The Southampton & District Branch of the British Cactus & Succulent Society will be at the Spring Craft & Garden Show at Broadlands on Saturday 22 to Monday 24 March.
In the Cactus tent children will be able to pick a plant, have help putting it in a pot to take home. They will also be given a 'goodie' bag containg a plant care leaflet, two plant pots and compost and a packet of mixed cactus seed to grow. They will also be given some cuttings to grow in one of their pots.
All this is totally free for the children. (They also get free entrance to the show!) The costs of the event are sponsored by the show organisers, RBT Events Ltd.The British Cactus & Succulent Society is a national society with about 4,000 members. The local branch hold meetings on the first Tuesday of every month at 7.30pm at St James CHurch Hall, Church Hill (A27), West End. Non-members are welcome.
