DAY tickets and weekend tickets are still available for a Winchester music festival, showcasing established and upcoming artists.

The Mucky Weekender festival, created by Dub Pistols frontman Barry Ashworth, is returning for its third instalment on Friday, September 9 for two days of music, art and performers.

The festival at Vicarage Farm, near Winchester, was initially launched in Sussex by the Dub Pistols to connect with their fans and showcase both new and established music artists.

The 28 acres of private parkland can accommodate as many as 4000 people for the festival with both day and weekend tickets still available.

Founder and Mucky Weekender curator, Barry Ashworth said: “Everyone’s a star at Mucky Weekender. I’m a strong believer that the crowd are just as important as the performers. Everyone has a smile on their face and are full of love. It’s the kind of festival you could go to alone and leave with 1000 new friends. We are really excited to host this event and can’t wait to put a smile back on peoples’ faces”.

The event is named after one of band’s biggest selling singles Mucky Weekend. This year’s line-up includes a host of bands, DJs, magic, comedy and a brand-new art installation with acts covering four stages.

The charity partner will be present at the festival with the Tonic Skar choir performing and opening the event.
