AN ARRAY of steam engines, interesting mechanics and a bountiful nature area will be on display at a historic attraction.

Twyford Waterworks will be open to the public on Sunday, September 4.

A spokesman said: "Discover how the drinking water that's piped to all our homes has been pumped from deep within the Hampshire Downs for over 120 years.

"Watch the machinery once used to do this in action and learn about its history.

"As much of the site will be open and in operation as possible. Come and enjoy the sights, sounds and smells of a working Edwardian Waterworks."
