AN ASIAN eatery has closed its city premises - and the empty unit is on the market.

Nuudle Bar Hampshire Ltd, a Japanese takeaway on Bridge Street, closed earlier this year without warning from its owners and staff, after serving several years in the city.

The business has continued with its Bournemouth premises, but it posted on Facebook that it had been affected by the cost of living crisis.

The post said: "As part of our plan moving forward we have decided to close some of our takeaways. With the cost of living situation and other factors we have had to make some difficult decisions and appreciate your understanding with this."

The takeaway's closure has sparked some confusion as its Facebook page Nuudle Bar - Winchester became active this week, promoting its other restaurant.

Despite the social media activity, the Winchester unit remains deserted and it was displaying a notice of forfeiture from Palmers Solicitors in the shop window when the Chronicle called on August 17.

The 129 sq m premises is also being advertised online with estate agents Goadsby, and comes with a two bedroom first floor flat for £35,000 per annum exclusive.
