WHEN looking for a bird's eye view of the city, there can be no better place than being in a hot air balloon.
Photos taken from the basket of a hot air balloon operated by Winchester firm Atmosphere Hot Air Balloons show Winchester and the surrounding countryside.
The pictures were taken on Monday, August 15 while the area was in drought status.
The balloon, operated by Jonathan Greatrix, took off from Winchester Rugby Club at 6.45pm and headed north along the M3.
A few rain showers can be seen on the horizon, over miles of golden fields.
