Winchester has seen significant rainfall this morning, for the first time in six weeks, and the first of any kind for two weeks.
After weeks of warm weather and a hosepipe ban currently in place, it is forecast to rain for the rest of today and tomorrow.
A Met Office amber warning is currently in place for thunderstorms across the south, meaning spray and sudden flooding could lead to difficult driving conditions.
