AN unattended bonfire was stopped from spreading in the early hours of Sunday morning, near Romsey.
Fire crews attended the bonfire, in Cupernham Lane, to extinguish it before it could spread.
A spokesman for Hampshire Fire Service said: "Crews from Redbridge and Eastleigh, along with a specialist Land Rover vehicle were called at 4.11am on Sunday morning to an unattended bonfire on Cupernham Lane.

"Hose reels were used to prevent the fire from spreading and extinguish the blaze.
"Firefighters left the scene following the stop message at 5.07am."
