The number of people living in the Test Valley with Covid is currently more than 100.

Figures show, that in the seven days to August 10, 120 people were reported to be positive with Covid.

In the areas six around Romsey, two saw cases go up.

In the seven days to August 5, Chilworth, Nursling and Rownhams had the highest rate of Covid cases. There were 10 cases, down seven (41.2 per cent) with 93.1 per 100,000 people.

Second was Romsey Town with eight cases, down one (11.1 per cent), 136.8.

Third was Nether Wallop, King's Somborne and Dunbridge with eight cases, down three (27.3 per cent), 103.8.

Fourth was North Baddesley and Braishfield with 10 cases, down seven (41.2 per cent), 93.1.

Fifth was Romsey, Cupernham and Halterworth with eight cases, up two (33.3 per cent), 92.9.

Sixth was Abbotswood and West Wellow with eight cases, down four (33.3 per cent), 90.4.

Hampshire Hospitals Trust was caring for 125 coronavirus patients in hospital as of August 2, figures show.

NHS England data shows the number of people being treated in hospital for Covid by 8am on August 2 was down from 155 on the same day the previous week.

The number of beds at Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust occupied by people who tested positive for Covid-19 decreased by 17 per cent in the last four weeks.

Across England there were 10,177 people in hospital with Covid as of August 2, with 240 of them in mechanical ventilation beds.

The number of Covid-19 patients hospitalised nationally has decreased by eight per cent in the last four weeks, while the number on mechanical ventilators has increased by five per cent.

The figures also show that 47 new Covid patients were admitted to hospital in Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust in the week to July 31. This was down from 84 in the previous seven days.
