A WINCHESTER-based soldier has been fined for an attack in Cardiff.
Scott Morgan Gibbs, 25, of Sir John Moore Barracks, Littleton, assaulted Francis Robert Wilson causing him actual bodily harm in St Mary Street, Cathays on November 6 last year, a court heard.
Gibbs admitted the charge.
Cardiff Magistrates Court on Thursday July 28 imposed a £862 fine, an £86 victim surcharge and costs of £85 to the Crown Prosecution Service, a total of £1,033.
No compensation ordered because there was no application for compensation.
Gibbs must may off the penalties by £20 a month starting on August 25.
