FIREFIGHTERS rushing to tackle a blaze in the New Forest were unable to get through due to inconsiderate parking.

Hardley Fire Station were called to the Fawley Enclosure today following reports of a fire.

But the team was greeted by a van blocking the gate to the enclosure.

Taking to Twitter, the team shared a photo of the white van which can be seen blocking a gate.

A spokesperson said: "This is the scene that greeted us when we were called to a fire in the New Forest (Fawley Enclosure) earlier today.

"These access gates must be kept clear at all times, they provide essential access for our Firefighters and other emergency services to get within the enclosures."

Today Hardley fire station tweeted: "On seeing the blocked entrance, we sounded our Air (Bull) Horns to try and get the owner's attention. This seemed to work as a few moments later, the driver appeared & moved the vehicle."
